CHAPTER FIVE

Amazing is not what my summer

was. I had to see my dad everyday.

And during my free time I went bird

hunting with Tyler. Bird hunting

wasn’t all that fun. I had to endure

Tyler lecture about his relationship.

No wonder why Madison prefers

BTS to him.

Now summer is over, and I have to get back to school.

To my fans.

To Jacob.

To Lucas.

“It’s a new semester” Madison said

shouting.

I moved away from Madison. I

smiled

“don’t spoil my eardrums”

Madison let out a laugh. One thing

that attracted me to Madison was

the fact that she does whatever she

want. And no one can stop her. She

was rich and smart.

“ so how was your summer?”

Madison asked euphoric . I

guess she was expecting to hear I

went to Italy or France

“ what else , stressful” I said with a

frown on my face.

Madison sighed, a sighed of-meto,I guess I’m not the only one who

had a bad summer

“not only you.I spent my all summer

watching my dad picking suitable

suitors for me” then she chuckled.

“ I can’t wait to see the look on his

face when I bring Tyler home,he will

be so disappointed”

I stared at Madison. I hesitates

“ do you really love Tyler?” I asked.

This time I cared.

During the summer I’ve come to

like Tyler- not love- just like-as a

friend. He was always making me

laugh even though he is going

through hell. He insult Lawrence.

For me. And with me

“ I don’t know” Madison said looking

uncertain.

“I really like him, he’s nice, funny

and cute. But I don’t know about

love”

I smiled

“ maybe if you don’t push him away,

you will get the answer to that” I

said sharply.

Madison stared at me and smiled.

“ I guess you are right, I don’t

know…”

Tyler placed his hands around

Madison waist ,cutting off our

conversation.

“what’s popping?” Tyler asked

smiling

I was glad he was smiling.

“nothing much. I was just thinking of

a way to get rid of you” Madison

said whimsically.

He let out a loud laugh then he

faced me

“ I hope that Mf psycho is not

disturbing you”

I smiled . Mf psycho is the nickname Tyler gave to Lawrence.

It means mother fucking

psychopath.

Madison stared at Tyler. She was

confused. But none of us were

planning to tell her our little secret.

“ he’s always gonna be a

disturbance to me. No matter what.

But don’t worry, everything is going

to be settled”

Lawrence existence alone is a

disturbance.

Tyler smiled widely then he looked

at Madison

“did you hear the news?” he asked

feeling exuberant.

He acted like he was going to tell us he won a lottery . but it’s Tyler.

So I’m not expecting a I- won- a -

lottery- news

“What news” Madison asked, half

interested

Tyler smiled

“ apparently ,Helen’s pregnant”

Madison widened her eyes in

surprise

“What?”

I knew this already ,so it didn’t

move me.

“so?” I asked,I wanted to know

how much Tyler knew

“ she claimed she was r***d”

Tyler said.

" by who?” Madison asked, getting

more interested.

“I don’t know. Some said Lucas.

Some Ola. Some jacob .”

Madison laughed,so hard-so

weird

“ why would influential people like

Lucas and Jacob get a girl like her

pregnant? she’s definitely trying to

put the pregnancy on them” she

scoff “ this sounds like a complete

set up. Helen is a p********e, so it’s

hard to believe her”

Tyler kept quiet for a moment,he

let out a long sigh

“ but what if what she is saying is actually true.

“that one of the most influential in

this school r***d her. When there

are better girls out there” Madison

chuckled a little “ she’s lying, and

it’s obvious”

Madison faced me

“what do you think of this?”

I found it interesting , but I didn’t

want to say that

“ I don’t have time to think about

irrelevant people”I said harshly

Madison laughed

“ you are so mean”

I am. But she’s way worse. I

laugh at peoples pain both in their

front and back. While she laughs at

their back. Destroying their name.

“ well Helen was expelled” Tyler

said , finishing his gist.

Madison wasn’t interested any

longer

“let’s just go” she said facing

Tyler.

Tyler faced me and smiled

“ bye” he said warmly

I smiled back and watched the

two of them leave. What was

making me smile wasn’t them. It

was Jacob.

“ Finally Jacob. You are dancing

to my tune” I smiled widely. And darkly.

I was on my way to the library ,

when I bumped into Lucas.

“ oh, I’m sorry” I said in a tone that

wasn’t apologetic. I never apologize

to Lucas genuinely. Even if I was

wrong. And he knows this.

I was conscious of the fact that he

was staring at me. I stared at him.

“ next time watch where you are

going” he hesitates

“ or you might fall” he said with a

cold expression on his face.

I scoffed

“ I’m sure you will catch me if I fall” I

said . Half smiling.

He smirked. Then chuckled.

He was finding this funny. My

heart was racing double than

normal. I still like him-I think.

“ what if I don’t?” he said in a

daring tone. His eyes moved pass

me to my right hand. He frowned.

I looked at my right hand , nothing

was there.

“ are you okay?”

He didn’t answer me. He mumbled

something and walked out. I inhaled

deeply. Then slowly- I exhaled. No

matter how hard I try to hide it, I’m

sure my face was screaming, I’M f*****g- ANGRY.

I thought I knew him, but not anymore. He was getting distanttoo distant.
