Chapter 7: Midnight Kisses

Elijah's lips smashed down on mine, sending shudders down my spine. I felt like I was dissolving into his kiss, like I was being devoured by the furious energy that burned between us. I attempted to thrust him absent, to stand up to the allurement of his lips. But it was no utilize. Elijah's kiss was like a rapidly spreading fire, burning hot and quick, taking off me breathless and needing more. As we kissed, I felt like I was losing myself in the minute. I overlooked almost the threat that Elijah postured, overlooked approximately the privileged insights that he kept. All I may think almost was the way he made me feel - lively, wanted, and reckless. But as the kiss extended, I started to feel a bizarre sensation building interior me. It was like a buzzing in my veins, a shivering in my fingers. I felt like I was being pulled separated, like my exceptionally cells were being rearranged. And at that point, fair as all of a sudden as it had begun, the sensation ceased. Elijah pulled back, his eyes sparkling with a furious light. "What's off-base?" I inquired, feeling a small dazed. Elijah's grin was like a streak of lightning. "Nothing's off-base, Aurora," he said. "Everything's fair beginning." And with that, he pulled me back into his arms, his lips slamming down on mine once more. As we kissed, I felt like I was falling into a pit, a profound dim gap that appeared to have no foot. But I didn't care. I was prepared to drop, prepared to yield to the enthusiasm that burned between us. Little did I know, I was moving with peril, playing with fire. And I was almost to get burned.
