The scenery hadn't changed much over the years, there was still the general store with its whitewashed head sign and spacious car park where her father had harassed the manager at one time. There was also the diner she worked at during summer holidays; the owner finally put back the missing letter in their sign.
When took a cab at the train station, she had told the cab man that she would like him to take a scenic route to Bipers crescent where her parents lived. He had mistaken her for a tourist due to her request for a scenic route and launched into a small commentary of the town.
