Chapter 8

It's been two weeks and I am still pretending to be upset with him. My phone rings I look at it, it was Sasha I tried not to talk to her now and then because of her brother even though it gots nothing to do with her and I know what am doing to her is wrong. I know I shouldn't do this to her, but I just like to keep myself lock away from everyone.

Chan has been none stop apologizing. Sending to me both from home to work with apologies for notes he text and call every hour when I'm home. I texted in the group chat saying I wanna go out.

Sasha calls and I answered this time but I couldn't say anything then. I sign and ask!Did you saw my message? “Yes, but that's not why I called. I called before but you didn't answer don't shut me out because of Raphael.” She said.

Who? I asked pretending not to know who it is. “It's Chan middle name.” She said and I said, Oh okay.

Sasha: Get dress and meet us at the hotel.

Okay. I said and hung up us I guess she taking Noah again I thought it was still too early.

So I decided to take a shower first and kill a little time (7:00 PM) I step out the shower, I heard the door open and close from across the hall although I was planning on wearing a dress that covers me up (evil smile) but since he's home I wanna make him so jealous and mad at the same time.

For the way, I dressed so I decided to wear a short that is cut up on both sides. So it shows so my body, my panty would show so I decided not to wear any tonight. I got this blouse, the sides and front were cut off, leaving a small length at the back slightly above covering my ass with my flat tummy exposing a diamond ring.

I put on some make-up. A little blush, a matte red lipstick, and a red sneakers, I took out my red coat and put it on my arm. I heard his door open and closed I wait for a little before leaving my room. I open the door and step outside then slammed the door. I want him to know that it was out of my room.

And I went down the stairs, sh** my phone again as I reach halfway down the stairs I turn back to go get it my phone and went back down the stairs I heard a car horn that must be... I was cut off from water sprinkling falling on me. Oh my god!

I turn to see the rest of the water leaves in his mouth. What the hell? I asked!

Chan: Change.

I look at myself then I look at him. Excuse you! Mr Lee, I'm your Secretary at the company at home you're just the stranger I help who was in my backyard. You are staying here because of your sister ask me to let you let's not forget it and the fact that we are Strangers to each other.

Chan: Three months that's all I asked for, how many times did say I am sorry. This isn't fair. Ten missed calls and few messages. I am sorry but I was working, I am not playing anymore, I am responsible for each and everyone in that company when I am at work. I can't believe you're still upset about it. although I have said sorry over a million times. I'm sorry.

I heard the doorbell I told whoever it was that the door was open.

Chan: I just wish Veronica was here!

Veronica? I looked at him disgustedly. Emma and TT came in holy f***. They both said then TT said girl you must be planning on being the sexy lady of the year as well. Maybe I am let's go. I said leaving Chan still standing at the kitchen entrance. So the girls didn't see him. I put on my coat when I reach outside I burst into laughter. What is so funny mind sharing with us? said TT.

Whose car is this? I ask! This is DD car and we moves a few blocks from you. TT said. Oh well, welcome to the neighborhood! Emma and I said. Thanks girl. She replies. We stand in front and the guy at the door let us. Others must be thinking we're getting special treatment since we came an enter the club with joining line? Oh but we are you're Pretty Lady after all, so anyone who is with you goes in with joining that line for a year. Sasha replied to me. Oh I didn't know. I said and said. You know now, let's get drinks.

Okay, I said taking my coat off and Sasha's mouth dropped just like her brother's own did. OMG must you always OMG you just wow, now I know why some whites hated colored people you make us look like nobody's dressing like that. Sasha said.

Ouch I feel like I'm being used. (DD & TT reply) Yes you are. We all laughed when I reach the bar I wave at Adam as he turns around and drops his mouth as Sasha & chan own did. I laugh a little is it that bad all he did was shook his head with his mouth still dropped.

We order our drinks since its free because of me then walked over to the booth we used last time. An hour pass and some guy comes on a little stage with a mic and the Dj kills the music so he could talk. So this week is the week we pick Sexy Lady and the girls look at me and I said. Don't you dare.

They looked away the guy keep talking and the crowd is cheering on and on until he stops and then said normally we would pick the winner but the people want to pick on their own Sexy Lady as they picked Pretty Lady for those who don't know Pretty Lady is, well she is the female who received the most free drinks on September 30th and Sexy Lady is the sexiest lady who is dressed sexiest for you.

So let the night begin. He said and leave stage after an hour and a half later the guy comes up again with a card in his hand the Dj kills the music again, and the guy holds up the card and says I will call the names of our picked candidate's when you hear your name's Ladies please make you way up here and stand with me.

So after few name pass then Emma, TT, black kitten and Sheila so I thought the black kitten was Sasha because her outfit gots a little kitten on the back, so I hold her hand and pulled her bring her with me as soon as we stepped up on the stage the crowd in the club go wild.

It was like a beautiful TV star step up there, or someone you have not seen in such a long time. Have you ever been watching move and in this movie there millions of zombies and this one human girlguy with their stupidity makes a sound & now himher is running for their life.

I wanted to laugh but I couldn't it would be weird so I just smiled. The guy keeps staring at me then said from a black brother to sister lord forgives me for I have sin one too many O….Okay. Let's start.

While the guy talks I look around a bit and I spotted Chan. I was so shock but I couldn't let him know that I was so I pretend not to see him and continue looking near and far in the crowd I snapped from my thoughts when I heard my name and the crowd goes while with cheering and whistles. This girl came up on the stage with a crown-like thing and put it on my head then he said who took second place in your heart and everyone was shouting. Black kitten. Black kitten. Black kitten. She looks at me and said. I think I became second place because you pull me up here. Maybe, maybe not. I smile back at her and the guy starting talking again so the first and second winner will drink free for the year.

Yes, Sasha shouts) and the guy stops and said oh would you look here. The owner of this place showed up for the first time since he brought the place, he has never once stepped in it now he's here it's a miracle.

Oh my god. Raphael my men come up here, oh and since Pretty Lady and Sexy Lady goes to the same person. She and her friends get the V.I.P lounge upstairs. We leave the stage and the girls follow the girl who crowd me upstairs DD had already reach the stage entrance when she heard we got the VIP lounge.

We entered and a bottle Champaign came with two bottles of red and greed apple vodka and five cocktails to start off with. Sheila, we love you girl. said TT & DD) It sounds like we're in empty walls when dd & tt talks together you can hear their voice echo. I received a text message I looked at it.

It's from Stranger, who was in my backyard as I'm about to open the message. Emma's said looks like the richest man in the city takes a liking to our queen. Chan's voice said) Hi sis and Sasha said) Hey. I look up without reading the text message (DD, TT, and Emma said)

I couldn't help but laugh after he leaves and I turn back to the girls all jaws dropped. Expect Sasha. Then she welcomes to the family. Looks like my brother is planning on getting married soon. She said I laugh. Why would you say such thing sash? I asked. She replies.

Because that belongs to his father, mother. His dad gave it to our mom before asking her to marry him. Before the accident mom gave that to Ralph's telling he should only and only give that to the woman he plans to spend the rest of his life with.

I was shocked at what Sasha to me, I look back to the where we stood when he gave it to me. What the hell? We haven't even … yet and he's planning on marrying me what the hell is going on in his head? I was only pretending to be mad, now look what I did. It's not a bad thing no, but I am only 23 I don't think I am ready for marriage.

I smile and said. Let's drink like there is no tomorrow and we did. We drink, laugh at our own silly joke and talked about hot guys, etc. We decided to come back since its Friday night and the weekend starting tonight. When I look at the time it's 2.am. and he is probably sleeping in the car.

Okay, girls let's head home. We can always come back another time, they agreed with me. We went downstairs and the club is almost empty I wave at Adam and leaves when we reached outside.

He was standing with some guy's I didn't know what they were talking about. I didn't like the energy I got from them. Emma was making joke of Sasha kitten amd I laughed loud enough so that they could see us coming then Emma said she need food at 2 28th. He looks over at us and the group of guy's leaves.

I walk up to him while watching the guy's walk away from him. I don't like them. I said and he said. I could tell. How? I ask. You are not a loud laughter princess, it was obvious. Hmm. Sasha drive with us and TT, DD & Emma drive together we left Sasha to Noah who was waiting outside and head home.
