Both young men were shocked when Clair brazenly confesses. Lander was stunned on his feet cannot find a word to respond to the maiden. He may be flirty but this is so unexpected. He knows too well that there is no trace of sincerity in what the maiden said. It's as if she just tested the water.
"Lorelie, don't start something out of your curiosity. It's dangerous."
Lander's response was serious. The maiden shrugged her shoulders.
"I would like to start a business with you."
Those were the only words Lander believed but this was the first time he had met the maiden and he didn’t know her background so, he frowned.
"First, you and Mr. Morosov are still going on business. Second, this is the first time I've met you, and I don't do business with strangers."
