Glowing eyes -Eva-    Finally, Gregg puts his phone in his pocket and grabs his keys ‘Bridget says you need to go, so I am taking you there and protecting you. I don’t like the way that you spoke to me and I would appreciate thanks,’ He huffs as he walks out of the house, I grab what I can from the counter and rush out after him,  turning the latch on the door while pulling it closed I listen to the satisfying click that it produces as it locks behind me. My nerves kick into high gear as I fidget by the passenger door of his car as he takes his time opening it, ‘Gregg, please.’ I plead while tugging at the door handle, he doesn’t seem to pick up on my nervous energy and the urgency that is required in this situation I don’t know what has happened but I get the feeling that it's bad. The car unlocks with a beep from the horn before I claw at the door handle again wrenching the thing open almost ripping the door off its hinges in the process.  I leap into the passenger seat and proceed to fight with the seatbelt, Gregg finally enters the car as if we are going for a leisurely drive, he fumbles with his keys as he stares at me in my battle against the belt, after inserting the key into the ignition slot he leans over my body prying the strap from my hands, he manages to pull it with ease and fastens it for me. Gregg still moving at a snail’s pace pulls his own belt from where it hangs and straps himself in, I start picking at my fingers, fidgeting from the anxiety and the ridiculousness of the situation, I watch him as he fiddles with his phone, “Gregg I swear, if you don’t start the car soon I’m going to scream,” I shriek, he gives me the side-eye and puts his phone back into his pocket. With a huff he turns the key the engine ticks over and finally roars to life, I shift in my seat as some of the anxiety I was holding onto dissipates. However, there is a lingering feeling of dread that I can’t seem to shift, we start on our journey toward the place that was marked on the map. Travelling along the road we reach the edge of the town the trees loom over the road causing the shadows to dance as the trees sway in the wind, the further into the canopy we travel the denser the trees get. The darkness that fills the voids in between the trees take on an air of wildness and it feels as if we are being watched as we pass through. Rolling the window down I listen as the birds start chirping overhead giving me a feeling of contentedness, the strange feeling of being watched continues to play on my mind, I pull my phone from my pocket and unlock it pulling the satnav up I program the app to the location on the picture, we’re close to it now, the hairs on the back of my neck stand up as I catch the same green eyes from yesterday staring back at me.
