Reading and Recovery

I stay on my bed, remembering how much needed to be done and how little I had done. All thanks to the sickness, and I hoped the rumor mongers on the palace grounds had not started wondering why I stayed out for long periods.
The fever was beginning to go down steadily, and I was feeling a bit better. I couldn't stand yet and the physician came in every day without fail. My appetite was coming back and I was able to eat small portions of food.
I had a scheduled meeting with the elders of my pack, and I knew considering what I had done in previous meetings that this meeting wasn't going to go well. I wasn't looking forward to it but it had to be done.
