ROSE
I slowly rose from my spot on the floor. I hadn’t gotten enough sleep. There were moments when I had imagined that Alpha Kanen was going to kill me in my sleep. It was the worst moment in my life.
I sighed as I turned to his sleeping features. He was a deep sleeper, and I was grateful for that. At least, he wouldn’t be able to do anything to me this way, and I would have a greater advantage to escape.
I pulled myself to my height and then slowly got to my feet. Everything was threatening to get the best of me right now, but I simply had to be strong. It was the only way to get out of this awful situation that I had found myself.
Alpha Kanen shifted to his side at one point, which caused me to pause my footsteps. He made no sign that he realised I was about to leave. This was good
