I continued to reassure Rose that everything was fine, though I could see the worry in her eyes. We sat on the bed, and I began explaining the situation in more detail.
"It was a hoax, Rose, a ploy to test our readiness. Someone wanted to gauge our strengths and weaknesses. I've handled the situation, the woman is locked up but we need to remain vigilant," I said, looking into her eyes.
Rose listened with all seriousness, still processing all that I had said. I could see fear in her eyes. Distracting her from her worries, I continued.
"Tomorrow, I’ll pass judgment on those responsible for this deception. I need your support and strength, Rose. We must maintain order and loyalty within the pack," I added, holding her hands.
