She turned around, rolling her eyes. Something she has gotten pretty good at, especially with me. I have to admit I find it cute. We used to be inseparable when we were little, but it became too hard for me as I got older and finally shifted. I still am around…all the time…I just try to keep my distance. No one understands what it’s like to know who your mate is, see your mate all the time, and not be able to act on your instincts. I’m not complaining, though. I’m glad that I didn’t have to wonder who she would be, how she would look, or the type of person she would be. Kyra is a fantastic person all around and the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. I’ve been struggling more and more lately with my own emotions—mainly jealousy and feeling overprotective of her.
