When I woke up, Dane was no longer in bed, but a note lay on his pillow telling me he was at the packhouse. I looked over at the clock next to the bed and realized I had been asleep for almost five hours. That means his uncle should be here already. I couldn’t help but feel a little mad that he didn’t wake me. I would have loved to be there to greet his uncle when he arrived. I climbed out of bed and made my way to the shower. Dane was going to start training me today, so I showered and dressed as fast as I could.
