Before I could deepen the kiss, Blaze pulled away, “We should go…” he trailed off, his voice barely above a whisper as he leaned his forehead against mine. I sighed before nodding in agreement. Blaze intertwined our fingers as he led me out the hospital doors and toward my parents’ home. Blaze kept me close to him as we walked, a few pack members smiling at us as we passed them. “Blaze!” a shrill voice broke through the silence. I knew the voice too well and immediately could feel my blood begin to boil. Blaze tensed next to me as Rain ran up to us. “What do you want, Rain?” he asked her flatly.
