Chapter 42A breeze swept up off the ocean, rippling the tall shore grass all along the coastal terrace. There, where the white sandstone bluffs fell to crashing waves, above the hidden cove, two heads emerged from the dancing reeds. Lifting his eyes from the glowing hands of his military watch, Emil looked at Ramzan. “We go now, Brother.” Ramzan nodded an affirmative; his eyes burning with readiness.
