CASTIA
"What do I think?" I repeated again as if I didn't hear it the first time. Is she seriously asking what I think after playing judge and jury over my life without my permission?
"You could've at least asked me first before planning all this." I seethe, unable to describe how I was feeling at the moment. "I don't want to live with him or anyone."
I glanced over at Kai when I said that, hoping that he would at least hate this as much as I do to back me up but instead, he remained silent chewing on his food and watching the drama unfold like it wasn't his business.
What the actual f**k is wrong with him? Doesn't he hate the fact that both our parents are getting married? Wasn't he upset?
"What will people say? How will they see our family when this happens?" I tried to guilt trip her to make her understand but it looked like her mind was already made up.
"Honey," She grabbed my hands. "I gave it a lot of thought and it's actually very good. Dominic has even promised to take extra good care of you for the period you'll be staying there."
"Besides, people will always talk but we'll be a family soon enough so it doesn't really matter, does it?"
"And what about the two of you?" I am forced to ask. "You'd leave us in that apartment all alone? together?"
"We'll be checking in from time to time and with you out of my hair for a while, I can enjoy and spend some quality time with Dominic before the wedding."
"I need to use the restroom." I muttered in a low voice that was barely audible as I tried to get up from my seat.
I accidentally knocked down my glass of juice and it spilled on my white dress. Great! Just great! As if I'm not being punished enough, this had to happen.
"Baby, are you okay?" My mother reached out to help me but I stopped her from getting close.
"I'll just change and join you later. I need some air." And with that, I rushed back upstairs to my room and shut the door behind me.
Taking off my glasses, I threw it on my desk and proceeded to shut my eyes briefly. How can everything go so wrong in just twenty four hours?
This is utterly crazy.
Pulling my dress over my shoulders, I toss it away into my laundry basket before settling on something else to wear. At that moment, my door pulled open and before I could realize who it was, I am met with the dark eyes of Kai brooding over me.
What is he doing here in my room? How did he even come up here? My mother is downstairs and if she should find out about any of this then she would flip.
"So, this is your room?" He asked, his eyes searching around as he allowed himself to walk freely without permission.
"This is where you set up your live stream, isn't it?"
"What are you doing up here?" I choked out a reply, my voice filled with dread. "You need to leave before... before my mother or anyone finds you here."
"Your mother knows that I'm up here." He answered, barely looking at me. "She asked me to take a look around and make myself comfortable since she's too busy with my father to give a damn about anything at the moment so I thought that I'd come up for a quick chat."
"Besides," He leaned down and picked up a book to examine it before throwing it back on my desk. "If anyone were to find out about anything, I'm pretty sure you'd get rid of it before they do, right?"
"I-I don't know what you're talking about?" I stuttered a response. He stood up straight to look at me, his stare lingering a little longer than I anticipated.
"Who knew that you look better without glasses and a mask, FitBootyVixen?"
I swallowed. I was right. He did recognize me. What am I going to do now?
"Y-You have to leave now." I pleaded desperately even though it was obvious that he won't leave and was probably enjoying this.
"Really?" He took a step forward and I took mine backwards until I hit the nearest wall where he caged me in. "I'm not the type to follow instructions, Vixen and you of all people should know that by now."
"You are like a fox, do you know that?" He groaned, his voice dangerously low as he leaned in closer. "You're shifty, crafty and you hide the real you behind those fake glasses that you put on."
"I don't want to be a bully but imagine if somehow, your mom were to find out that her daughter was a fake with a whole different personality?" He threatened, his hands reaching to pull the strands of hair off my face.
"What would that poor woman do?"
"Please." I begged. "My mother can never find out. She will die if she ever finds out about any of this."
He placed his lips to my ears, "I don't do charity, Vixen." He said, his hot breath fanning my neck. Heat flaring between my legs and slowly building up.
"You know how you have your little rules online for everyone to follow?" He reminded me. "I also have a few of mine as well, one of which is that I don't do things for free."
"What do you want from me?"
"Oh it's nothing much really. Just a couple of things but I'll tell you the most important one right now." He pried my legs apart and stepped into them so that his thigh was grazing mine directly.
My whole body went numb as I felt my knees almost go weak. Everything that I have always envisioned was happening to me but this time, it was real and even more intense than I had imagined.
I can't let him know that I have a crush on him let alone a single attraction or it will be over for me.
"Since you were comfortable lying, hiding your identity and playing mind games with me for months, I think it's time that I return the favor, Vixen." He ran his tongue on my ears and I shivered.
At that moment, he pulled away in an instant, leaving me bare.
"Firstly, you'll have to agree to your mother's request of living in my apartment, no questions asked." He stated with a sinister smile. "Maybe after that, I might consider keeping that little secret of yours."
