Chapter 02 - Daydream

She looks at the two couple necklace she bought from the bazaar outside our hotel engraved with a star in the middle and a circle around it. "Isn't this nice, Cole?" she excitedly said. She was holding it while reading the word "Coffee" on the star. It was a combination of Cole and Sophie and she named it herself.

Looking at her makes me excited as well. "It's beautiful" I said smiling at her. She handed me the other one and said "we should wear this on our first day". I was confused as we are already dating but still, I asked her "Isn't it our first day today?" While trying to wear them myself.

She was adamant about not wearing it yet but I wore it nonetheless. She pouted and kept on saying "Don't wear it yet!" stealing the necklace from me but I was fast. She was so cute and I find her amusing "Yes, I will"

"Just wear it already!" I said getting hers and putting them in her neck. She wasn't really resisting and I am confident she likes it too. She kept on saying "No!" but she's not moving at all.

I smiled and said "Come on, I already wore mine." she turned and she touched it and kind of feeling the necklace. "You are so impatient" she said pouting again. I asked her this many times but I can't stop asking her this "Don't you want me as your boyfriend?".

She always thinks afterwards and will answer for a bit late. "Well,..." her one hand pointing at her lower lip. She was very pretty today. I hugged her and said "Don't worry, I'll never cheat on you." We intertwined our hands and smiled at each other while walking happily. Is there an earthquake? I felt like my body was shaking.

"Ian, wake up" Eli said

"hmmm, let's walk a little bit longer" I smiled. She pulled the blanket out of frustration and said "Ian, wake up, we're late".

Then I realized, it was just another dream. I sat on the bed still half-sleep and said "I'm awake, just give me a minute". I feel dizzy when I wake up every morning so I need some time to recover and I am good as new.

She was about to open the door when she turned and asked "okay... and Ian, still dreaming about her?". I looked at Eli for a second and replied "yeah" while fixing my hair.

Rather than opening the door, she lean on the door and asked "Why don't you visit her?". I already know the answer to that many times but I still reply "I, I don't know" I'm scared to even approach her. I think she still doesn't want to talk to me after what happened in Manila.

Sophie always trust me and never jumps to conclusions right away. We were dating before I left for states and I left a promise and she trusted even after all the rumors about me. One time, it was another rumor but it got out of hand and she was very upset and didn't talk to me until now.

Eli's my manager and she knows a lot about me. We shared some secrets like family stuff but I still kept some. She doesn't like secrets especially about my life as IAN COLLIN BLACK, she want to protect me from all the downfalls and it was very comforting to have her by my side always.

I only trust three people in the industry. Elizabeth and Jericho, the siblings, they were like the siblings that I never had. They always open their door when I'm down and when I'm elated. I was thankful for the both of them to be the best buddies I can have.

They're both American and they only have their dad to support them but it is okay because their dad hold a high position in a multi-million dollar company in New York. I don't know why she agreed to be my manager than pursue her own career.

Let me tell you, she doesn't see me as a man or even his ideal guy, if that's what you're wondering. She actually like someone else for a very long time but I haven't met him yet because he works abroad.

Jonathan, my security detail, was like a brother too. He was like the father figure I looked up to and there were never a time where I felt uncomfortable to him and his family. He has a family at an early age, got a daughter at 22 and brought her up to be a good girl.

Eli seems worried about me and she kept on staring so I said "I'm okay, I'll be out in a minute." she didn't bother me after and finally opened the door.

I showered after she left and wore plain T-shirt with a leather jacket plus my brand new FILA white shoes. We are heading to the location of the shoot.

The director of the music video felt like there's something missing in the content and he decided to tag along here with us and look for location suited for the video.

He was quick to see a beautiful place and here we are shooting some scene he wanted. I approved of his directing because I always win the best music video and he got tons of award as well. I change into swagger kind of look with loose pants and a checkered polo shirt. I thought I am going to wear an inside sleeveless shirt but they wanted it like free spirit kid.

Archie, was waiting in my dressing room again to film me for my documentary movie and docu-series. Documenting everything I do is a must in my line of work. I had tons of documentation like; shooting a music video, studio rehearsal, modeling, advertisement, and etc.

It was like a behind the scenes moment that we created for fans who can't see us, like fans from other countries who can't travel in US. In that sense, we kind of give them the glimpse of how I work and all.

Archie asked me how was my day and I sat down the sofa first then answered, "A little blue, didn't sleep much".

"How about you, man?" I asked him back. He then put some thumb up using his other hand. "I am good". I smiled and said "Yeah?"

I felt like I needed to rest but we have to check the stadium too later this day so no rest for today. I put my head on the headrest and I was about to close my eyes when they called me again to shoot.

When I do documentaries, I always do my best to be as honest and natural as I could. I just don't like filtering every move I make. I wanna put some ugly ones as well. My fans watch them to see the real me, off and on stage. If I filter everything and see the reality I'm living, they'll feel betrayed or disappointed. So, I present them the Real Me.

Archie is my camera director and he likes to lead the documentation himself than sit on his office and wait for the inputs. There was a time where I didn't bring Archie to film and I was looking for Eli in New York because we got separated and her phone was off.

I saw some guys surrounding someone. I thought it was another gangster fights then I saw Eli's bag near the streets and I got agitated and I remember the guys from earlier. I rushed to that location and found her almost got r***d by those men.

She wasn't r***d because I got there on time but as I was fighting those guys, some paparazzi recognized me and bad articles again. He shot only the part where I was beating the guy. I was unstoppable at that time because I got really angry about the fact that they just messed around Eli.

I didn't knew that there was someone filming the scene and I just receive the news after a day and Eli was adamant about giving an article to clear my name. I knew that Eli was not a fan of camera's and flashes but she was really determined and Jer was ready to sue the guy. I talked to Eli in private and asked for her sincere opinion and she just don't want trouble.

The men apologized and the issue got resolved. We just forget that issue for her sake and we moved on.

The filming started again and I am in and out. I was out most of the time, I wasn't really feeling it today and we almost took the day shooting and it was very hot too. I was thankful that they stayed for too long and they said they weren't in a hurry so it was allright.

I wasn't really not in the mood. I can't focus on one scene so we had to take a long break a while ago. We continued and finally the director wrapped it up.

"It's a wrap everyone." said Asher. He direct everything from the beginning of my career, he was there too. I like to work with him because he doesn't really shout that much and he explains everything in a manner.

Eli approached Asher, as always, and said "Thank you Asher, have a nice day".

"You too, Elizabeth" they said their goodbyes and Asher walked and he put his right hand on my right shoulder and said "Good work, Collins, I'll see you soon. okay?"

"Sure, thank you for the patience man" I kinda feel good that he likes my performance. I don't really make peace with a lot of directors, they're kinda rude and they see me as a bad kid with a big reputation that I don't really deserve.

Most people call me Collins, I don't really know why but I felt like it was weird calling me by my second name. Majority of my friends call me Ian though. Fans called me Ian, Ian Black, Collin, and the weird one was Cole.

There is one person who always calls me Cole and it's weird when my fans called me Cole. I was called Lin too, it sounded like a girl name but it was okay and I got used to it.

I asked Eli if everything is done for today. She said that I have an interview with Mr. Kanji Imoto. She said he is known to be the best anchor in Japan and he really wanted to meet me.
