I was almost yelling.
“Helena, calm down.” He touched my arm. His eyes were heavy with emotion, and my heart raced.
“I'm supposed to go back home and take over as pack leader. I don't want to. It's not for me. I'm no leader. I..I wanna stay here, with you.” His gaze pierced through my pupils. I could hear the painful sound of my heart, but I didn't want it to stop.
