Ryder's dislike for Julian stemmed from their vastly different values and work ethics. Julian was ruthless and manipulative, often prioritizing personal gain over the company's well-being. Ryder, on the other hand, was driven by a desire to innovate and make a positive impact. As Ryder returned to Ava, he couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. He knew the family meeting would be a challenge, and he wondered if he'd be able to assert his own vision for the company. Meanwhile, Julian was already planning his strategy to win over the family members and secure the key role. Little did he know, Ryder had a few tricks up his sleeve. The family meeting was tense, with Ryder's father pushing for Julian to take the key role. Ryder spoke up, expressing his concerns about Julian's leadership style and questioning whether he was the right fit for the company. Julian smirked, trying to undermine Ryder's credibility. "Ryder's just jealous because I've always been the favorite," he said, his voice dripping with malice. Ryder's father intervened, his voice firm. "Enough, Julian. Ryder has valid points. Let's discuss this further." The debate continued, with Ryder and Julian presenting opposing views. Ryder's passion and conviction eventually won over some family members, but the outcome remained uncertain.. Days after days and weeks after weeks,Ava's daughter, Emma, begins to develop a close bond with Ryder, who becomes a positive influence in her life. However, when Ryder's family discovers their connection, they pressure him to use his relationship with Ava to gain control over a valuable business asset that Ava's late husband had invested in. Ryder is torn between his loyalty to his family and his growing feelings for Ava and Emma. Ava, meanwhile, is worried that Ryder's family will exploit their connection for their own gain, and she must decide whether to trust Ryder or protect herself and her and daughter Ava's past came flooding back when she received an unexpected visit from her late husband's business partner, Marcus. Marcus had been keeping an eye on Ava and Emma, and he revealed that he knew about Ava's growing connection with Ryder. Marcus's intentions were not entirely pure. He wanted Ava to know that he had been keeping secrets about her late husband's business dealings, secrets that could potentially damage her reputation and her relationship with Ryder. Ava was torn between her desire to protect herself and her daughter, and her growing feelings for Ryder. She didn't know what Marcus's secrets would reveal, but she knew she had to be prepared. Ryder, sensing Ava's unease, reached out to her. Ava hesitated, unsure of how to share her concerns with him. Ava decided to confide in Ryder about Marcus's visit and the secrets he claimed to have. Ryder listened attentively, his expression growing increasingly concerned. "What kind of secrets is he talking about?" Ryder asked, his voice firm. Ava hesitated, unsure of how to share the details. "I'm not sure, but Marcus seemed to imply that it could damage my reputation and our relationship." Ryder's eyes narrowed. "We'll face this together, Ava. I'll support you no matter what." Ava felt a wave of relief wash over her. For the first time in a long time, she felt like she wasn't alone. As they talked, Ryder's phone buzzed with a call from his family. He excused himself, leaving Ava to wonder what the future held. Ryder was taken aback by his father's call, especially since he hadn't mentioned Ava or her late husband's asset to anyone in his family. He wondered how his father had found out about Ava and her connection to the asset. "Dad, how did you know about Ava and her late husband's asset?" Ryder asked, his curiosity getting the better of him. His father's response was cryptic. "Let's just say we have our ways of gathering information. What's important is that we need you to use your relationship with Ava to our advantage." Ryder's unease grew. Who else knew about Ava, and how much did they know? He felt a sense of responsibility to protect Ava and her secrets. Ryder's curiosity got the better of him. "Who told you about Ava? I haven't mentioned her to anyone," he pressed, trying to understand the situation better. His father's tone turned evasive. "Let's just say we have people who keep us informed. You need to focus on using this connection to benefit the family business." Ryder's unease deepened. Who was feeding information to his father, and what else did they know about Ava? He felt a growing sense of distrust towards his family. As Ryder pondered the question of who might be feeding information to his father, he couldn't shake off the feeling that someone close to him was involved. He decided to do some digging and discovered that his cousin, Julian, had been in contact with his father shortly before the call. Ryder's suspicions were confirmed when he confronted Julian. "You're the one who's been feeding Dad information about Ava, aren't you?" Ryder accused, his voice low and even. Julian's smirk confirmed Ryder's suspicions. "Someone needs to keep you in line, Ryder. And if that means using Ava to get what we want, so be it." Ryder's anger simmered just below the surface. He knew he had to protect Ava from his family's machinations.
