The creatures move from our camp at around four o'clock in the morning. Nelson is dead asleep while Jimmy can be heard whimpering in pain. Their hostage is still crying.
After they've gone I fall asleep until around eight o'clock when I'm startled by some noise.
Looking around and Nelson is arguing with Jimmy about the hostage and Jimmy's injured leg. I go down to investigate.
The creature's teeth had sunk deep into his flesh and some meat is missing. He must have bled a lot because under his tree I have see the undergrowth stained with blood. The creatures tried to lick it up but it's still visible, a testimony to the savagery that almost happened.
Now the leg is so swollen it needs medical attention, most probably it's infected. The saliva or the teeth of these creatures could b
