CHAPTER TWO That evening, Remi and Daniel sat on the plane to Rome, going over the case. Despite the long flight and cramped seats, Remi could already feel her pulse pounding at the chance for another mystery to solve. That excitement was mingled with guilt at leaving so abruptly. The FBI had smoothed things over with the dean as usual, but Cyril, in their few minutes together as she packed her bags, had been sullen.
