Who Are You?

**The Human’s POV***

“Ouch! My head.” I exclaimed as I just opened my eyes slightly to a brightly lit bedroom. I had no idea where I was or why was my whole body in such pain, but mostly I had no idea who this individual was who was staring at me.

“Finally you're awake. I thought you’re dead, I was about to go bury you in a few minutes.” Said the stranger.

“Ex...cuse me?” I said. “Who are you? Where am I? and also…” that’s when he rudely interrupted me.

“She’s awake!” Who was he yelling out to?

Another stranger who looks a lot like him came in, maybe they’re brothers, I thought. That’s when a couple more people came barging in through the door like something exciting was happening.

“Oh my! Hello sweety how are you? Are you ok? You had enough rest? You want something to eat? Maybe I should prepare you some…”

The first stranger cut in “Gee mom calm down you’re scaring her, she just woke up.”

I was just staring at everyone trying to remember how I got here, or maybe I should just ask them but, what if they’ll think I’m a weirdo and irresponsible and unmannered, but I can’t just sit here in an unfamiliar room surrounded by strangers. I took a deep breath and decided to put my ego aside.

“Excuse me but where am I and who are you?”

That’s when a woman with long black hair like the night sky sat beside me and held my hand.

 “I’m Queen Lillian and that’s my husband, King Xavier.” She pointed at a quite handsomely built man whose hair was blonde and had brown eyes, then pointed at the first and second strangers.

“those are my children, Jake and Steven. Jake is the one who was guarding you and Steven is his brother. My youngest child is Marrylin but she’s not here yet and also their cousins Owen and Rowen.”  Her eyes kept searching mine as she took a pause

“You’re in our residence my dearie, you’re safe. What’s your name my dear and... do you know what happened to you?”

Everyone came leaning in clearly they didn’t want to miss anything I had to say,

“My name is… uhmm”

“What a nice name,” Steven said with a huge grin. I think he might be crazy, a little bit.

“Will you just quit it?!” Jake gave him a glare

"So now I'm not allowed to compliment Uhmm?"

Ok, maybe he might be a lot crazier than I thought.

"You two hush, what did you say your name was dearie?"

what’s my name? WHAT’S MY NAME? I had no idea what my name was, how could I not know my name? Why does my head and body hurt so much? What happened to me? My eyes voluntarily began to tear up, who am I.

“I don’t know.”

Jake looked a bit irritated and deep in thought while everyone looked pitiful.

 “Who am I? what happened why can’t I remember my own name?”

Steven came to sit next to me and gave me a reassuring smile

“It’s ok don’t worry we’ll help you get through this and we’ll find the answers to your questions. Just relax and don't put pressure on yourself, okay?” he winked at me which caught me off guard.

“Okay. I won’t put pressure on myself, thank you for your kindness”

After a few seconds of silence, Jake broke out of his thought and barged out of the room seemingly with a mission in mind. Could he know what happened to me?

“My dear you are welcome to stay here for as long as you would like, we are here to help you. Have some rest, dinner will be ready in a while”

That was the first time King Xavier had spoken to me and I felt touched to have been in the presence of such a warm and welcoming family.

“Thank you, sir, I’m grateful for all your kindness” I watched as everyone left the room after Lillian gave me a hug and Steven winked once more, I couldn’t stop thinking about the way Jake had left, could he know something about my bad memory?

**Jake's POV***

Honestly, I just can't stand Steven. Marry and the twins have been gone for the whole day now looking for some items of clothing and toiletries for this human, I just want a break because clearly, she's not prepared to wake up.

 That’s when she opened her eyes and scanned the room until she caught me staring at her. She asked me questions I had no desire to answer so I’d rather call everyone to entertain her.

“She’s awake!”

It’s surprising how mom is fond of humans. I could tell she wanted to protect her and take care of her with all her might, but who on earth is this human?! Pffft she doesn’t even know her own name, how annoying and sad. I bet Huro had something to do with this. Huro is the coldblooded alpha of The Red-Blood Moon pack and they leave havoc and bloodshed wherever they step foot. Everyone knows not to mess with Huro and his pack but if Huro had something to do with this nameless confused lost human then what did she do to him? Who cares, she probably was passing by and got in his way, if that’s what happened then Huro wouldn’t have spared her life. If not Huro then who? I know I picked up Huro’s scent beside that river and this human reeked of it, so it had to have been him, Spike is never wrong. I just don’t understand the connection. Spike told me I had to go back to that river and try to figure out what the hell happened there, as much as I don’t like Huro… something was telling me that wasn’t the last of him. I had to keep my eye out for him.
