“She's gone," Ian uttered angrily, standing up and surveying the room. "She must have escaped through the secret passage in her room. There's no way she'll get far though."
"We need to contact the authorities," Ivan said, taking out his phone. "She's dangerous, and we can't let her harm anyone else."
I sat there on the floor, my heart still racing from the adrenaline. "Ivan, thank you," I whispered, putting a hand on his arm. "You saved my life,” I confessed, I literally couldn't afford to be bedridden again.
“Go upstairs…” Ivan instructed after making a phone call as I shook my head slowly.
