The forest fell into complete silence. The Alpha King's silver eyes burned with fury as he stared at the blood dripping from Selene's sword. His gaze shifted to the royal physician lying lifeless on the ground. For a long moment, no one spoke. Finally, Selene lowered her sword. My King... this is not what it looks like. The Alpha King took another step forward. His Alpha aura spread through the forest like a violent storm. The trees bent beneath the pressure, and the ground cracked beneath his feet. Lyria had never felt such terrifying power. Selene struggled to remain standing. She forced a smile. Please... let me explain. The Alpha King's voice was calm, but it carried enough authority to make even the wind fall silent. Did you kill him? Selene hesitated. He attacked me first. That was a lie. Lyria stepped forward. She killed him. The Alpha King looked at Lyria. Tell me everything. Lyria took a deep breath. The physician brought me here to protect me. Princess Selene followed us. She admitted that she wanted me dead. Then she stabbed the physician before he could defend himself. The Alpha King's eyes slowly returned to Selene. She shook her head desperately. She is lying. Am I Lyria reached into the pocket of her dress. Earlier, when she had hidden the old prisoner's leather pouch, she had forgotten one small object that remained inside her pocket. The silver pendant. She held it up. As soon as Selene saw it, every trace of color disappeared from her face. The Alpha King noticed immediately. What is that? Lyria handed him the pendant. He examined it carefully. On the back was the same symbol carved inside the prison cell. Three crescent moons surrounding a crown. The Alpha King's expression became dangerously cold. Where did you get this? The old prisoner left it for me. Selene suddenly lunged forward. Give it to me. The Alpha King caught her wrist before she could reach the pendant. His grip tightened. Why would you risk exposing yourself over a simple pendant? Selene remained silent. Answer me. She laughed bitterly. It no longer matters. The Alpha King released her. Explain yourself. Selene slowly lifted her head. For years, I stood beside you. For years, I protected this kingdom. I was promised the throne. I was promised that I would become your Luna. Then she pointed at Lyria. She appeared from nowhere... and everything changed. The Alpha King's expression remained unreadable. No one promised you my bond. Selene's eyes filled with anger. The Moon Goddess never should have chosen her. She should have chosen me. A sudden burst of laughter echoed through the forest. Everyone turned. A masked man stepped out from the darkness. Dozens of warriors appeared behind him. Each wore black armor marked with the three crescent moons. The Alpha King's eyes narrowed. Alpha Darius. The masked man removed his mask. A scar stretched across one side of his face, but his crimson eyes still carried the pride of an Alpha. You remember me after all these years. The Alpha King stepped in front of Lyria. You should have stayed dead. Darius smiled. That was the plan. Until the prophecy awakened. His eyes settled on Lyria's stomach. There they are. The future rulers of the kingdom. Lyria instinctively stepped backward. Darius spread his arms. Hand her over, and I will spare your kingdom. The Alpha King laughed softly. You expect me to surrender my mate. Lyria looked at him in surprise. It was the first time he had openly acknowledged her in front of someone else. Darius smiled. So you finally admitted the truth. The Alpha King didn't take his eyes off his enemy. I made one mistake by denying her. I will not make another. Lyria felt tears sting her eyes. Before she could say a word, Darius raised one hand. Attack. More than fifty warriors charged through the trees. The Alpha King shifted into a massive black wolf with glowing silver eyes. His roar shook the entire forest. The battle had begun. As Lyria backed away from the fighting, a sharp pain ripped through her stomach. She cried out and fell to her knees. A brilliant silver light surrounded her body. Everyone stopped fighting. Even Darius stared in shock. The light grew brighter until three tiny heartbeats echoed across the silent forest. The oldest elder among Darius's warriors dropped to his knees. His voice trembled with fear. The royal triplets have awakened. The Blood Moon has accepted them. The Alpha King turned toward Lyria, horror spreading across his face. Because he realized something that no one else had. The glowing light had revealed her exact location to every enemy in the kingdom.
