[Scene three] Light fades with the view of victor walking in a sunny afternoon as its light illuminate on the tick dried bushes in the dream world. A few walk after, the dark side of Victor appeared some kilometers away while waiting for his twin arrival. DARK VICTOR: What took you so long, Victor? VICTOR: I have been preparing to finish you off. Once and for all. DARK VICTOR: You think that can happen? We have been doing this for so long now. Why can’t you just give up and release your body to bond with me. VICTOR: I won’t make that happen! DARK VICTOR: Then accept that you will continue to use your own hands to hurt everyone who has ever loved you and that includes your mum; and that…new girl you call…, Abigail. Just like what you did to your loving brother… (Smiles in horror) VICTOR: (Squeezing his fists as he yells in anger) SHUT UP! (Victor rushes to Dark victor with an urge of charging fury as Dark victor runs along with a devastating blow on Victor’s face. Victor immediately gains balance and lands two strong punches at Dark victor’s jaw. Trying to land the third one, Dark victor caught his hand and punch him in the belly making Victor fly uncontrollably in the air and land on the ground) DARK VICTOR: (Coming to Victor while he tries to gain his stand) You know, Victor. This world you see is created for you and i. It’s a bedrock for our battle and it has given us both an enhance strength and durability with no rules or obligations…We are both unstoppable but our goal is never equal. No matter the obstacles you bring up to me, my goal will never be broken. VICTOR: (Stands upright) What… what do you ever want from me? DARK VICTOR: Everything, Victor. Everything you ever own in your life. VICTOR: And…if I do not give you…? DARK VICTOR: It has always been the reason we fight each other. But I see you have always been a loser so, that is why I’m giving you this chance to give in everything… (Stretched his hand to Victor) into…my hand. Victor looks down to the ground and held Dark victor’s hand as he suddenly drags Dark victor and punch his face while leaving him to stumble. Victor took his next step by jumping to his dark side with a kick to his chest as he bounced uncontrollably to the bushes nearby. VICTOR: You chose the wrong hand, you imposter. DARK VICTOR: (Stands up after the fall while smiling broadly) You are just too stubborn. Oh, I have almost forgotten we’re the same. (Victor runs to Dark victor with a charging fist as Dark victor grabs his neck and slam him so hard on the ground. Victor tries to let go but Dark victor made his move by punching his face continuously without mercy as the terrible sound of the blow echoes around the whole area of the dried lonely land while Victor loses his effort on letting go and stopping his super dark side) DARK VICTOR: (Paused the punches) See you next time…, Victor. (Dark victor dashed a knockout blow at Victor’s face as he suddenly wakes up from his awkward nightmare in the early morning) VICTOR: (Sitting upright on his bad) No…No, no. (Confused in anger) I… I should have won. I should have won! (Victor got off from his bed and starts to scatter everywhere with madness of disappointment) I should have won! I should won! (Victor’s mum immediately rushed in to Victor’s room with fear while still wearing her night gown) VICTOR’S MUM: Victor! Victor! (Stops him and hugs him to stay calm) It’s okay. It’s okay sweetie. You have won. Whatever it is…, you have already won. VICTOR: (Sobbing) No… no I didn’t… (Victor’s mum feeling terrified with Victor’s action as he continues to cry in his mother’s chest) VICTOR’S MUM: It’s okay. (Kissed Victor on the head while calming him) During the day time, Victor’s mother drove Victor to his school gate with a new flashy model Hyundai as it caught the eye of the school students and Kolade including Lola as she becomes envy to the majestic life of Victor and his mum and the way everyone in school are admiring him. VICTOR’S MUM: Are you sure you would be okay? VICTOR: (Getting down from the car) Yes, mum. VICTOR’S MUM: Okay then, I will come pick you after school hour. VICTOR: No, mum. I am also fine coming home alone. VICTOR’S MUM: (Looking silent as she sighs) Please…, come home save, okay? VICTOR: (Answered confidently) I promise, I would. VICTOR’S MUM: (Smiles faintly) Good luck, dear. (Victor’s mother drives off as Kolade comes to meet Victor) KOLADE: How many cars did your mummy have? VICTOR: Why the question? KOLADE: Did you know that new model Hyundai really caught the eye of every student in school. Moreover, I have seen her bringing more than three new model vehicles to this school premises and am pretty sure she brought that Hyundai…Or, could some have given her as a gift? Maybe someone… VICTOR: (Quoting) Sometimes, riches and toys of this world can’t buy happiness. KOLADE: Yeah, yeah. I’m just…you know, “saying” (Gesturing his two fingers in the both arm as Lola adds in) LOLA: Those kinds of word are mostly used by fake people like you, Victor. KOLADE: You again? What is… LOLA: Hey, hey. (Shun kolade off as she raised her palm to his face) My business is with this anonymous that calls himself Mr. humble. VICTOR: (Walks closer to Lola) What’s with you all these while, huh? KOLADE: Yea. Why are you being so picky when it comes to me and Victor?! LOLA: (Facing Kolade) You know that since we have known each other in this school, right before Victor came I have never been like this to you. So you need to understand that, Kolade. KOLADE: Well, you were always like that to others until you switched to me. LOLA: (Facing Victor) Proud monger like this shouldn’t be allowed for befriending. Besides, the things that have been keeping him up have always been his mother’s money and I do wonder where she usually get the money from… (Victor and Lola looking at themselves in a serious act) KOLADE: (Trying to separate Victor from Lola) Enough already, Lola. And how on earth did you know all of what you’re saying?! VICTOR: You can talk all you want. But you just have to know that one day, it will surely face its end time. LOLA: End time of what?! Letting the whole world know that you and your mother are some kind of a money sucker leech?! KOLADE: Are you… (Rushing to Lola as Victor stops him) VICTOR: (Coming closer to Lola while smiling in an horrific way) You can enjoy talking trash to me and my mum all you want but let me assure you that it will be just little thing (Gesturing his fingers) One little tiny thing that might finally get you to the stake of death. (Victor walks away along with Kolade as Lola becomes surprised and terrified) LOLA: Wha… (Changes expression) Did… Did you think I am afraid of you? Did you think you can threaten me with those statements?! I have people who can beat you up! A lot of people in my area! Do not think you’re too big to put me down that easily, you hear? Don’t think of that! (Lola continues to yell at Victor as he walks in to the school building without minding her) KOLADE: (Sighs) Hey, Victor. Just don’t mind that fool. She does that often. I really thought she should have changed but it looks like it is already in her blood… She didn’t even think about her tiny size and her cockroach voice and she is still behaving so annoying and abnormal to our nerves. VICTOR: Do not worry, Kolade. She would surely stop when someone teaches her a lesson. I think that is what she is after when she have been bring up those irritable characters. Time at school passed by as Victor takes his journey to Abigail’s church. He went in to the church compound while looking around the environment like he had been sent to another dimension. He looked around in search of Abigail while standing still for some minute as he sees a bench at a few steps away and went ahead to seat on it till Abigail show up. ABIGAIL: (Coming to Victor in a rush) Hi, Victor. Am sorry I kept you waiting. VICTOR: Hey. I actually thought you won’t show up for now so I decided to wait. ABIGAIL: Ouh, that’s so patient of you. Thanks for doing that. (Both seating on the bench) So, let’s start with…you. (Looking closely at Victor) You live around here, right? VICTOR: No, I live at about two to three streets away from here. ABIGAIL: Hmm. (Nodding her head) So, what about your friend? I mean that lively sharp mouth boy. Isn’t he coming? VICTOR: No, he’s not. Trust me. He would be better not to because he never stops whining and always a talkative. Though, he is really good at keeping company and making me laugh but… (Scoffs) He is sometimes so…annoying. (Both laughed as they went silent for some seconds) …So…, what about you. Uhm…you live around here, right? ABIGAIL: Yes, I do. But you know, I thought you should have known a lot about me after I got stalked by you for a few times, now. VICTOR: (Both laughing) Yeah. Well…, am sorry. I…didn’t just know how to approach a girl like you. ABIGAIL: You look pretty nice for approaches. But if you truly want to meet a girl, you have to go straight to her and let her know whatever you want to tell her. Not just…stalking her for no reasons. VICTOR: (Scoffs) Am sorry and…when I last saw you in the singing band…, you were…quite amazing. ABIGAIL: You mean my voice? (Victor nodding positively) Thanks. (Excited) I thought I wasn’t that fitted as a choir. VICTOR: No, you’re good and amazing. That voice really suits you. (Abigail feeling flattered by the compliments as Victor keeps looking at the church) So, what about your grandmother? I use to see her sometimes in or around the church. (Looked at Abigail) Is she in? ABIGAIL: No. She is not. She went out with some group of evangelist for some missionary accomplishments. VICTOR: Oh, yeah… That’s…that’s good. ABIGAIL: What about you? Which church do you attend? VICTOR: Me? (Pointing at himself) I…I do not attend any church. ABIGAIL: Oh. But you are a Christian, right? VICTOR: Christian; Muslim. I do not attend any of them. It’s just me and my mum in this world. ABIGAIL: So…, you haven’t read a bible or a qur’an or…know God and Jesus Christ...? VICTOR: We just live our live, that’s all. ABIGAIL: Wow… I really thought the spirit pushed you to get to know church or Christ through me. VICTOR: Well, I wish that was possible. ABIGAIL: Hm. Speaking of only you and your mum...? VICTOR: Yeah. (Adds in) I was the only child my mother had after her divorce. But we are both okay, now and we truly enjoyed ourselves. Also, she does the work of a lawyer and she’s really good at it. And what about you? You live with your parent, right? Though, I don’t use to see them around with you but are they really her with you in the church? ABIGAIL: (Looking down and depressed) Yea. I lived with my parent once… When I was 9, they had an accident on their way coming back from their travel. Since then, I started to live with my grandma here in church. VICTOR: Oh, no. Am so, so sorry. I… I shouldn’t have brought that up… ABIGAIL: (Looked at Victor) No, no. It’s okay. Besides, my grandmother use to tell me it was their time to seat in the hands of God in heaven. VICTOR: And…you accepted that? ABIGAIL: Yeah. What else can I do after crying so hard for them? I am not the one holding their lives. VICTOR: Wow. It’s a complicated world after all. You live your life, own your life and can’t control it the way you like it… How absurd. ABIGAIL: Everything happens for a reason. Only God knows why. VICTOR: You never lack contempt after all, Abigail. ABIGAIL: (Laughs) This is just me in the lord’s way. (Both keeps silent for some seconds as Victor stares at Abigail while looks elsewhere) So…, (Abigail turns to Victor as he quickly turns his face away in a flash) What can I get you? VICTOR: Me? Uhm… ABIGAIL: Do not tell me you are okay. I do not like that from a friend or visitor. VICTOR: (Looking at Abigail as he accepted her claim) Okay, you can get me anything you have at home. ABIGAIL: You have to tell me what exactly I can get you, Victor. VICTOR: Alright…, you can get me. Wine. ABIGAIL: (Scoff) Wine?! (Both laughing) The only wine I use to enjoy is Zobo and I am going to get that for you right away. (Stands up from her bench sit) VICTOR: (Stopped the laughter as he changes expression) Wait, what? (Abigail came back with two chilled bottle of creamy zobo in her hands while Victor looks at her in surprise) ABIGAIL: This zobo I am holding is a pineapple flavored type and it’s very chill. (Hands a bottle over to Victor) Come on, try it. VICTOR: (Holding the bottle) It’s… Chill. ABIGAIL: (Answers directly) Yep. VICTOR: (Opens the chilled zobo bottled and drinks out of it) Haaahh… (Spoiling his face) ABIGAIL: How was it? (Anxious) VICTOR: The truth is, I have never tasted Zobo until now. I can… (Pointing at his throat) I can feel the pineapple flavor and it’s quite peppery. ABIGAIL: Well, that is how it should be. (Drinks from her zobo bottle) So, how was it? VICTOR: Hmm… (Gesturing in a manner of thinking) I rate you…76 over 100. ABIGAIL: 76?! (Excited) Thanks. VICTOR: Wow. I thought you would be the type that would say “I need to have 100.100” ABIGAIL: No. Sincerely, that rate you gave me was already satisfying. (Showing up her zobo bottle) …just like my Zobo. VICTOR: (Smiling broadly) I wasn’t mistaken when I said you never lack contempt. Abigail and Victor exchange pleasantries and laughter as they continued their zobo drink. While in the evening, Victor set to take his leave as he head to the church exit along with Abigail. VICTOR: (Taking off his uniform) Well, I need to be taking my leave now. ABIGAIL: Yes, but why are you taking off your uniform shirt? VICTOR: (Scoffs) I was planning on sleeping over in your room. (Abigail looking serious as Victor burst into laughter) Sorry. I am only taking it off so that it won’t get stained… (Putting his shirt in his bag) And I do not want it to get ruined before walking straight to home. ABIGAIL: Ehya. I shouldn’t have delayed you like that. I didn’t even know it’s already getting late. Am so sorry. VICTOR: Come on, don’t be. That happens because we were obviously having a lot of fun together. ABIGAIL: (Blushing) Just go home save. Time is running out. VICTOR: Okay, Abigail. See you tomorrow. ABIGAIL: Alright. (Victor taking a few steps backward while staring at Abigail’s eyes and takes his leave as Abigail smiles continually before heading back to the church)
