The 12:21 Anticipation (The Heartbreak of Riho Sia)

Wake up, Riho.

"Wake up, Guin. Time to go."

They both opened their eyes, still sleepy. Time check, it's Tuesday and 7:01 in the morning. And they both have bad breaths in the morning, yikes. They both got up to start their new day and prepare for their school. 

Riho woke up by the shout of her father, saying how she's worthless and all. She ignored it which annoyed her father even more, but both of them don't have any energy to fight. And so he left her behind. Riho went inside the bathroom and took a shower, brushed her teeth, and went outside. She went back inside her room and picked up something she wants to wear according to her style. She didn't even bother to eat and went outside her house.

Meanwhile, Guin went inside his bathroom and took a bath. After taking a bath, he went inside his room and wore his usual outfit. After that, he went inside the kitchen to eat his breakfast. "Glad you woke up, darling. Eat all your food up." Guin's mom said while cooking bacon and scrambled eggs. "You're treating me as if I'm a kid," Guin groaned.

"Of course, you'll always be my kid. Besides this is I, showing that I'm a very cool mom. YOLO!" she responded while giving Guin the "rock-and-roll" hand sign. Guin sighed as he continued eating the breakfast his mother cooked for him. The moment he was done eating, he stood up and went to the bathroom to brush his teeth. When he was done brushing his teeth, he went outside and got into his father's car. 

"Hey son, how's your mornin' doin'?" Dad asked he put on his seatbelt. As he was putting on his seatbelt too, he responded, "Eh, nothing much. Mom's acting she's in 2000 hanging around with her jock friends." he sighed and rolled his eyes. His dad laughed and turned on the car. Guin rested his head on the seat while his gaze is outside the car's window as he started driving. While he was enjoying the view outside the car, I saw someone that took my attention. "Dad, stop the car!" I screamed at my father. "WHAT- WHAT HAPPENED?!" my dad shouted back at me while glaring from the side. 

I opened the car's door and stepped outside the car. I ran towards the other streets while looking by the sides to check for cars. "Riho! Hey!" I shouted. Riho leaned back and was slightly shocked to see him, but she slightly smiled while waving her hand at him. As Guin was coming closer to her, "Hey, great seeing ya." Riho said.

Guin smiled at her, "Hello, good morning. Are you going to school?" obviously, Guin said inside his mind. Riho nodded,"Yeah." "You mind going on a ride with me? My dad always drives me to school." Guin suggested. "I mean, sure! If that's okay with your dad.." Riho said while her gaze transferred to Guin's dad. His dad waved at her while she slightly smiled at him. "Oh yes, of course. It's okay for him," he said while looking back at his dad who is wiggling his eyebrows. Guin rolled his eyes. "So, let's go?" Guin said.

Riho nodded while they both crossed the street. They went inside Guin's dad's car and took a seat. They were both seated at the back. "Hey there, I'm Guin's dad. I'm obviously driving him to his school every darn day, considering the fact that he's 18 years old and in twelve grade." Guin's dad said while his gaze is on the road. "We'd like to treat him like he's a child but we just want to annoy him even though it's such a waste of time and effort," he said and chuckled. Riho smiled at him while Guin is clenching his hand from annoyance. Riho noticed it and chuckled internally. The tension was quiet, but not awkward at all. 

The drive was peaceful and quiet. Guin's dad decided to turn the radio on whilst humming and jamming his head. The time was fast for a quiet ride. Without them not noticing, they were at the school already. "Okay kiddos, daddy's dropping you off here. Papa will miss you." Guin's dad said while Riho and Guin were going down from the car and giving them flying kisses. "Dad, stop with that cheesy words of yours!" Guin whined. His dad laughed him off while Riho was smiling, observing them. "Well, enjoy your day kids. Oh hey, how about I pick you up every day Riho?" Guin's dad suggested. "Oh, I would love that," Riho responded. Guin's dad chuckled and responded, "All right, that's a plan then!" he exclaimed. 

"Goodbye, Dad." Riho jokingly said that made Guin laugh and they left Guin's dad, mesmerized by Riho calling him dad. 

As they get inside the school, it was very crowded and all of the students are busy preparing for their first class. They both went in front of their lockers to get their things too. "Hey, what time is your first class today?" Riho asked. Guin looked at her before he responded, "It's still early, my first class will begin at 9:30 AM." 

"Oh bummer, my first class would be right now," Riho responded. "Oh I'll see you later then-" Guin stopped when he noticed the hall is full of murmurs. The middle of the hallway, which was crowded a while ago, was turned in half. Riho groaned and turned her back. "What's happening?" Guin whispered. Riho signaled him to take a look. And there were three blonde girls with clothes filled with pink and white colors. "The mean girls wannabes." Riho groaned. 

The three of them were walking down the hallway and everyone's eyes were on them. The middle girl walked in Guin's direction. As she got closer, he gently caresses Guin's necktie. "Hey there cutie, I've never seen you before." 

"Oh, I'm new here." Guin uncomfortably smiled while slowly taking Luna McCarell's hand. 

Luna McCarell. How do I even begin to explain her? Big boobs, skinny, pretty face, blonde. She's popular for victimizing everyone she talks to. She knows everything about everyone and is always in other's business. She's barely even passing her grades, but since she's a rich girl with unending abundance, she paid her grades to pass. This is why she stays dumb. Riho said in her mind.

"Interesting, you should definitely have a lunch with me and my crew-"

"No, thank you." Guin cut her off and smiled uncomfortably. "I'm actually having lunch with my.. friend. Always. Everyday." Guin continued, still smiling at her uncomfortably. Riho is still facing her locker but she's secretly eavesdropping. "Mhm, I see. Not that I care but you really should consider having lunch with us rather than.. your friend." Luna glared at Guin. "Anyway, see ya, boo." she bid her goodbyes and blew flying kisses at Guin. Guin internally cringed as Riho is holding her laughter. 

"That was like.. traumatizing," she said while continuously laughed. Guin was shocked to the core since this is the first time Riho laughed this loud. Riho stared at him and smirked and closed her locker. The bell then rang and Guin snapped out. "There's my class. See you at lunch, boo," she said, teasing Guin. She laughed at him before she proceeded to attend her class.

Guin then walked outside the back of the school and went to the botanical garden of the school. As he sat on a bench, the fresh breeze welcomed him.

The botanical garden is shaped like an igloo but made out of glass. The round-shaped area is surrounded by veins, thorns, and leaves that bloom with red roses. The bottom sides of the garden are surrounded by artificial grasses and flowers. You are welcomed by leaves that are formed by 6'4 feet. And the center area is the benches that surround a fountain where different petals are floating. On top of the fountain is an angel statue that held a harp where the sparkling water is floating. On the top-center of the igloo is a hole that faces the statue, creating light from the sun, making it more sparkling and magical. 

As he was enjoying the quiet and fresh tension, he heard footsteps.

He looked back and there, he saw the girl earlier, Luna McCarell. The girl was smiling while walking towards him. Guin's eyes widened and looked away. He held a sigh hoping the girl is going away. But his expectation happened. "Hey there cutie, fancy seeing ya here." LunaMcCarell spoke in front of him. "Oh.. hey." Guin awkwardly answered. 

She sat beside him and crossed her legs while Guin created a distance away from her, "I haven't introduced myself yet, my name's Luna McCarell. 12th year, a journalism student. Although I don't really care about my education but whatever." she said and rolled her eyes. "This is such a huge deal but.. can you be my boyfriend-" "No.. I mean.. no thanks, but you're not my type." Guin cut her before she could finish what she said. Guin immediately stood up and went away. "Tch, nerd." Luna whispered and laid her back.

This is the first time I've clenched my teeth because of a woman, Guin whispered on his mind and rolled his eyes.
