As mad as she was at him, she had waited up till very late in the night for him hoping that he might come. She had of course waited in vain. He did not come.
He had actually got in to some business discussions with max through out the night. He had wanted to go to her room after they were done but resisted the urge. He was sure that max might be suspecting something was going on between him and elena after he had walked in on them in such a compromising position. Max had not said a word about the incident and so he was not going to say anything on the matter too until he was asked and until he was very sure of his feelings.
They did not see or speak to each other the next day. She spent the whole day in her room while he spent the whole day at work.
