‘What now?’ Dr Khan asked as Frankie moved away from the bus. ‘They can’t have got far!’ ‘No, they must be close.’ Frankie looked all around, up and down the wet road leading to the lookout, and over the edge above the reservoir. We all saw Toby’s little tabby cat dart into a gap in the bushes at the side of the road. Frankie pointed. ‘Hang on, what about the waterfall trail?’ ‘Yes,’ said Dr Khan. ‘That’s a good thought.’ She took a deep breath to calm herself and then patted my shoulder. ‘Coming? You’re Mia, yes?
