“Ma’am, we are almost at the house. I expect to see you welcoming us in.”
Alyssa said to Devin over the phone the moment they drove into the building.
Devin laughed and ended the call before Alyssa could say anything else.
“You just had to didn’t you?”
Mrs. Stone said to Alyssa shaking her head.
“Of course, if I don’t, who will?”
And just as they drove into the parkway where there was a fountain, Alyssa stopped her best friend waiting there with her arms folded.
“See? There she is.”
Alyssa was the first to get out of the car, she opened her arms and ran to Devin.
Devin was also running to her, they were just two excited kids and their excitement was contagious.
