“I was wondering if you were ever going to come back.”
Devin said looking from me to Marcel before facing him and saying,
“You are going to have to take her home.”
“Excuse me?!” Alyssa asked as she moved forward, pushing Devin backwards so that she could have some privacy with her.
“What’s that about? You know he can’t take me home.”
“Well, he can because your parents are assuming he’ll be the one taking you home.”
Alyssa shook her head in confusion and disbelief, making Devin explain herself further.
“They called earlier on and I had to come up with something.”

“Then why didn’t you call to let me know and how exactly did the conversation end up with you telling them that Marcel will be taking me back home?”
