Marcel Varane. As Marcel listened to the girl, Reese seated on his desk talk to him, he let his mind drift to the girl who has been on his mind from the first moment he saw her. He didn’t even know her name. Marcel had been surprised to have sensed his mate not long after showing up in this town. Right in the school surrounding, he felt it before he saw her. After that moment that he had with her she disappeared. He had gone back to the compound where he was staying in with his Cousin, Snow then he decided to survey the area and have a look at the place his father had sent him to. As he was surveying the area he came upon the beach side and that was where he saw her again and this time he had more than a moment, enough time to realize that she did not smell like a wolf at all. She was in fact, a human. Nonetheless, his wolf, Fury was excited about it and so was he. He did not know what he was going to find when he walked up to her to talk to her but he let his senses lead and just went up to the girl who was currently bothering his senses. When he started getting close to her he realized that she was in a somber mood. Then almost suddenly her mood changed from somber to anger, her pulse quickened and then she surprised him as she yelled out to the sky. He was surprised to see her reaction and so when he got close enough that she could hear him, he decided to talk to her about it and that had seemed to annoy her. She was in a sour mood and it was very obvious from the way she was throwing these rocks at the water. The moment he spoke to her, she jumped in surprise that turned to fear and then defense before she snapped at him and made a quick turn and ran towards her bike, getting on it and running away from him. He had watched in surprise but he did not think too much of it because he just knew that he was going to see her in school. He just hoped he did not have to go around looking for her so when he looked up and saw her walking into the class he knew that no matter what happened today he was going to make sure that they had a conversation. A proper one. ******* After the class, Marcel had tried to talk to Alyssa but when he turned to her desk to talk to her he realized that she had left. He looked around the class and she was nowhere to be found. She had just disappeared. Just like the first time he saw her in the hallway. He was sitting in the cafeteria, talking to Reese and her friends the next time he saw her and she was obviously trying to avoid looking at him, if he was a mere mortal he would not have seen her but then she couldn't hide her scent from him. Especially with the special bond they had. After lunch, Alyssa was walking down the hallway when Marcel saw her again. They caught each others eyes at the same time then Alyssa looked away and started walking as fast as she could. "Hey!" Marcel called out, jogging after Alyssa who was walking as fast as she could so that she would not have to talk to anyone especially not Marcel. Marcel chuckled softly, stopping briefly to watch Alyssa's obvious attempt to dodge him as he jogged lightly after her. Then he picked up his pace, not stopping until he caught up with her. "Excuse me." he said the moment he was able to stop in front of her making sure that there was no way she could dodge him Alyssa who cannot hide her avoidance stops reluctantly and makes sure that there is no eye contact as she asks him what he wants with her, “I want to apologize for how we met and also for what I said when we met at the beach." "What exactly are you apologizing for?” Alyssa asked folding her arms over her chest. “Whatever it is that made you mad yesterday.” "Whatever made me mad?" she scoffed before chuckling dryly and replying him, "Okay. I'm not mad because I was never mad at you" then she paused briefly and gave him a once over before continuing saying, "Now, can i go?" Then she tried to walk around Marcel who was making sure that she could not leave his sight. Marcel who was not satisfied with the answer he got, moved slightly so that Alyssa was unable to leave and quickly said, "Can I see you again?" “Um, no." Alyssa said, "I really need to go for my next class, I have a lot of notes that need to be written.” "I'm glad I got to sit next to you," Marcel said. "I wanted to talk to you more yesterday but you did not give me a chance.” Alyssa just kept looking at him and when Marcel realized that she was not going to budge, he stepped out of her way and said, “I will see you after school then.” Marcel watched as she walked away and was joined by the girl who had come late to class earlier. He had only been here for a few hours but he could tell that she did not talk to a lot of people. He wondered why. Then he decided he was going to find out why. ******* “Now, you have to tell me every single thing that beautiful boy told you and you need to spillllll!” Devin said once her and Alyssa both settled down in their art class. “What do you mean?” Alyssa asked as she tried to not answer the question by acting preoccupied with the art supplies for the days class. Devin was not having it because she knew Alyssa well enough to tell when she was dodging and she was going to get her answers. “Are you seriously going to act like there isn’t something you aren’t telling me after I saw you with Marcel?” “Marcel?” Alyssa asked, confused. “Yes, Marcel! The new student with beautiful eyes.” “Ohh” Alyssa said, realizing she had actually heard his name enough times to remember. “Ohh? He even gave you a look when he got up to introduce himself in class and I thought it was just in my head but seeing both of you together after lunch?” Devin tsked and shook her head before continuing saying, “That can not be a coincidence so you better spill the beans ma’am.” “You know I’m shy when it comes to these things.” “Girl, I do not care what you are. I just want to hear everything.” “I would have told you all of it if you had come early to class.” “I would have, if I didn’t sleep off. Plus you did not call me this morning.” Devin replied pouting, “you know I always depend on your call.” Alyssa rolled her eyes, “I was almost late too.” “You?!” Devin said surprised, her voice a note higher than normal. “Devin, is there something you and Alyssa want to share with the class?” “No, Mr. Pot.” Devin replied to their arts teacher and the rest of the class with a sheepish smile. “Sorry for the distraction.” Mr Pot shook his head and went back to teaching as Devin turned her attention back to Alyssa and whispered. “You were almost late to school? You are never late.” “Yeah, I know. I even left my backpack at home.” Devin opened her mouth in amusement as she scooted closer to Alyssa and said, “Whatever you are about to tell me is going to be juicy so let’s not waste time. Just say it.” Alyssa chuckled before proceeding to tell Devin everything that had happened to her after they had left each other the day before.
