The next morning, Cooper decided not to go to work. His excuse? His wife was not feeling well.
“What’s wrong with mum?”
Alyssa asked him on the way to school. She had noticed that he was the one who made breakfast.
When she asked why it was not her mother, he told her that her mother was not feeling too well.
Now in the car, Alyssa was more specific with her question.
“She did not sleep well last night. She was feeling really weak.”
He said, not lying but not giving the proper details.
Alyssa was not used to her mother being sick. She was worried.
“I Hope she feels better soon.”
“Oh she will, you know your mother didn’t fall ill often. It won’t take time before she’s feeling better.”
“That is why I am worried. But yeah, I do get your point.”
