Marcel Varane. “I cannot believe you haven’t been here up to a week and you are already chasing the girls.” Snow, Marcel’s cousin said to him. “Chasing the girls?” Marcel repeated to his cousin but as a question then he continued saying, “I don’t chase girls. Why would you say that?” “Because I noticed your behavior with that dark haired shy girl in class. The one whose seat is right beside yours.” “Ohh?” Marcel said leaning into the seat of his car, “Her. I am chasing one girl and not all the girls.” “Why?” “Because I’m in love Snow.” Marcel said looking up into the clear sky, “isn’t that a wonderful thing?” Snow who was used to Marcel’s womanizing shook his head, “I wonder how long this one will last. Anyway, are you ready to go home?” “Nah, I’m waiting for her.” Snow who was not used to his cousin putting in this much effort had to ask, “You know what? You need to tell me what it is with this girl. I mean she’s pretty and all but she’s not even your type.” Marcel laughed at his cousin and said, “That’s the thing. I think she might be my mate but I don’t think she’s a wolf.” “No, I doubt she is.” Snow said, “We would have sniffed any wolves from a mile away, there are no wolves in this town.” “See?” Marcel said shrugging, “it just has to be love.” “Do you really think so?” Snow laughed, “since you want to wait, I’ll be going home then.” “I don’t think she’s going to take much longer, won’t you just wait a bit?” “Nah, I actually want to run. You know I prefer doing that to driving.” “Yeah, because you’re old school. Right?” “Exactly.” Snow said with a wink before he dropping his books in the car and walking away from Marcel and the car. Snow was old fashioned, and that was something that Marcel could not boast of. He enjoyed change and the comfort that came with it so he almost always changed with the times. He shook his head and returned it to its position on the cars head rest and continued admiring the blue sky as he waited for his love to be done with her class. He knew the moment she was done because he could smell her so he got out of his car and walked back into the school compound. There he sat on a bench and waited. ******* Alyssa Stone. “That is some romantic storyline. I bet Reese is burning up.” “Why would she be burning up?” Alyssa asked Devin as they walked through the hall way, ready to go home. “You can be so clueless sometimes, Alyssa. She is in love with Marcel and so she will hate the fact that you, her mortal enemy is the object of his desire.” Alyssa chuckled and said, “I hope not, and me? Object of his desires? You need to back up on that please. I don’t know what he wants but whatever it is, I bet I am not the object of his desires.” Devin rolled her eyes, “I told you that you are clueless and darling, I did not lie there.” “Whatever.” Alyssa said, arranging the sheets in her hands “I just want to get home and copy todays notes into my journals. Hopefully tomorrow will be less eventful.” “Well I really doubt that.” Devin said, “Of course you would, you like the drama don’t you?” Devin chuckled, her next sentence surprised Alyssa. “I do.” She whispered before clearing her throat and saying in her normal tone. “Hey, Marcel. I was just leaving Alyssa because I’m in a hurry but please can you make sure that she gets homes safe?” Alyssa looked up in shock as she saw Marcel standing before her and Devin walking away from her with a mischievous grin on her face. “Bye, baby. Bye, Marcel. See both of you in class tomorrow.” Alyssa wanted to grab her and shake sense into her or go back in time and pay more attention to her surroundings and not todays notes. “Bye.” Marcel said before turning his attention to Alyssa. “Hi,” That was funny but Alyssa was not going to laugh with him. “Hello, I guess we meet again.” “Yeah,” Marcel said chuckling, “We have met quite a couple of times and there hasn’t been a proper introduction, so please let me.” Alyssa knew she was the reason why there had been no introductions so she nodded and let him because what could go wrong with that. Right? "Hi," he said. "I'm Marcel. We met at the beach yesterday." Alyssa nodded. "I remember. Hi Marcel, I’m Alyssa and it’s nice to meet you.” “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Alyssa.” Alyssa smiled then Marcel continued saying, "Your friend said to make sure you get home safe and so I was wondering if I could take you home.” Alyssa hesitated. Marcel noticed and quickly added, “I’m not a psycho, I promise.” “You have to follow my directions and I have to share my live location with Devin.” “Sure, sure. Who’s Devin?” Alyssa chuckled, “That’s my best friend, the girl who just told you to make sure I got home safe.” “Ohh, Devin. Noted.” Marcel said an amused smile on his face, “Come on, my car is parked this way.” “Okay,” Alyssa said as she walked with Marcel to his car, unknown to her they were being watched by a very unhappy Reese. The ride to her place was very nice, Alyssa did not say a lot and Marcel did not try to make her talk. He just played good music and with the top of the car dropped, it all felt nice. “See you in school tomorrow yeah?” “Yeah. Thank you for the ride.” “It’s nothing really. Thank you for letting me.” Alyssa smiled and started walking to the dur when Marcel said, “Please don’t be a stranger tomorrow.” She turned back to like at him and laughed lightly, “I won’t be. Bye.” He winked at her and drive off, leaving her feeling things in her stomach. Things that left her excited. As she walked to the door she would have sworn she felt butterflies but no, she would never agree to that. Especially as it was because of someone who she was pretty sure was a playboy.
