After the principal delivered his message, his bid his farewell and left the class.
It did not stop the murmurs that erupted after his announcement. My classmates were still shouting, still clamoring for my exit.
“We can’t send an elite out!” they said. “We’d rather send Kayden out!”
I couldn’t stand it, so I grabbed my things and walked out, my eyes pinned on the floor until I left that vicinity. The audacity of them to just call out for me to leave was glaring. It showed how little they cared for me, but it’s not like I didn’t already know that.
I laughed dryly. “If only they know that leaving the elite class is the least of my problems. I’ll probably even leave the school by the time Luna comes to expose my secret.”
