When my mother announced that Kayden should stay back after the assembly, I was worried. None of my brothers brought it up, and even though we cast glances at him several times, they didn’t seem to think anything was wrong.
Matter of fact, the whole class probably assumed it was some private discussion. Whatever it was, it didn’t sit right with me. It felt like I’d miss out on a whole bunch of things if I didn’t check it out.
Suddenly, I stopped mid-walk.
