The air between them was certainly much clearer than it had been when he left the previous evening. Okay, they'd had a meal together and they had actually spoken to each other in a civilized manner. However, the whole episode hadn't been quite the same as it normally was. That was why he had put everything else on hold, until he called back to see her today.
