Danilo’s POV I grumble under my breath, turning my head slightly as something flickers on the outside of my eyelids. I want to keep sleeping, for the first time in a long time, I slept like the dead. Normally I’m only half asleep, always alert on some level for danger or predators nearby. I want to hold on to this . . security I suppose it is, this feeling of being safe, of not needing to worry about being attacked at any moment. I further onto my side, my hand moving across the mattress lazily, seeking the warmth of the sweet female who I fell asleep curled around. My fingers slide over the cold sheet, meeting nothing.
