Bailee’s POV ‘Bails you need to sit down’ Caden mutters as I walk in front of him for the sixth time in as many minutes. We’re sitting in the waiting area of the local Council office, well Caden and my father are, I’m wearing a hole into the carpet in front of them. We’ve already been waiting an hour and this Council member seems in no hurry to call us into the room next door for our hearing. ‘I can’t’ I mutter, turning around again and marching my way back to the other side of the bench that I’m supposed to be sitting on. A hand grabs min as I pass and I’m gently tugged backward until my ass hits the hard wooden furniture. I turn toward my dad who rubs his thumb over the back of my hand comfortingly. ‘It’ll be OK Bailee’ he murmurs, ‘what did we all say? No worrying about the what ifs
