I was in solitary practice when I suddenly felt like someone was watching me. I stopped and tried to touch my surroundings. My brows furrowed because I couldn’t sense anyone else in the room except me, but I couldn’t shake off the unease. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. After a few moments, I opened them and activated one of my abilities—my sharp hearing. Even if I couldn’t hear their breathing, the beating of their hearts, agitated ones, would not escape me.
