I really don't know what to make of tonight. Honestly, the whole evening was just one big blur. With the fundraiser, the unexpected showdown with Jaxon, I just spun, trying to process it all while Hazel bounced around the room, happy and oblivious to the mess of emotions that had just been stirred up. By the time the last parent had left and the dimming of the gym lights was a reality, I knew I was operating on autopilot.
