Isabel's POV "Amara, I need you to take the rest of this cake. Seriously, I can't keep eating my feelings like this," I said, pushing the half-eaten chocolate cake across the counter toward her. Amara arched a brow at me, leaning her hip against the kitchen counter. "You're the one who ordered it. Said it was part of your 'healing journey,' remember?" I sighed, stabbing the fork at the smudged frosting still on my plate. "Yeah, well, step one of my healing journey is not turning into a complete sugar addict. Take it before I change my mind." She snorted, but slid the box off the counter and tucked it under her arm. "Alright, fine. But don't come crying to me at midnight when you're craving another slice. I rolled my eyes. "Not happening. I'm officially done letting food fill the void.
