After making Earth saving love Ana went into a deep slumber. Derek had seen the change in her eyes when he too felt their bond strengthen. He had never experienced such a connection and the way his body ignited only solidified what he already assumed. With a smile on his face and Ana resting peacefully on his arm, he joined her in slumber.

As Derek’s mind closed off the world a voice entered his dreams.

'Derek, I'm coming to you as I'm not sure how Ana would handle hearing my voice. This is David, her husband.'

Derek was immediately wracked with jealousy and questions. How was David in his mind? What did he want. If he was going to tell him to leave Ana he would not oblige.

Replying to the unfamiliar voice Derek strongly spoke through his mind, 'I love her and will do everything I can to ensure both she and Eva have a happy life. I will not give her up if that is what you are asking.'

David’s voice returned with laughter leading his words, 'I was not her fated. That is you my friend. I love her very much but after I died I learned the truth behind the darkness at play. I am here to warn you it is back and he will stop at nothing to destroy the fate you and Ana share.'

Confused Derek replied, 'Ana saw him die. He has returned? How? What can we do to stop him?'

'Believe only each other. Even those you trust can be afflicted by the darkness and convinced to do his bidding. Only you and Ana are immune as your love protects you. My last request is that you treat my daughter as if she were your own. She shall be powerful and will need a strong father figure to keep her on the blessed path. Eva has a role to play as well. All on Earth, the Heavens and beyond need the three of you to succeed no matter what obstacles are thrown your way.'

'What do I tell Ana?' Derek questioned while absorbing the information he was just given.

'Tell her what you feel is necessary but please ensure her I am happy. I am not jealous and she has no need to feel guilt. To be honest with you, I found my lost fated when I crossed to the other side. Let Ana and Eva know my love for them is everlasting and when the time comes we will all reunite in Heaven.'

With that David ended the conversation, hoping Derek headed his words.
