After falling asleep early in the afternoon with Derek we woke up in the evening as my phone rang at 6pm to the now familiar unknown number.
This time Derek answered. He was done having me face Joe on my own as he’d witnessed how his darkness was effecting me. To my relief he put it on speaker.
“What do you want a**h***? You’re dealing with me now.”
“Daddy… I mean Derek, is mommy okay?” I heard my daughter’s voice through the phone.
“Eva baby, you can call me whatever you're comfortable with. I feel like your father so if you'd like to call me daddy I’d be honored. Mommy's fine, worried but doing alright. She's sitting right next to me,” Derek lovingly replied.
