Chapter Fifty-Three Wolk and Andrews waited along the side of the road with the twenty marines Fitzhugh had managed to scrounge from the British naval units searching for the Aud. As there had been no help forthcoming from Birdell or the Irish constabulary after the heated meeting, they just had to make do with what troops Fitzhugh could find about town. If their reports were accurate, the Irish brigade would be rushing down to the beach with trucks to help transport the weapons and ammunition the Germans were about to deliver.
