As the sun began to set, the sky turned from bright blue to a light purple, oranges and reds. The clouds were also changing colors from white to the different hues. The yellow golden light from Central City started to get brighter as the sky darkened. I yawned and leaned against Jason’s arm as our pace seemed to slow down. Mariah turned to us.
“Can we stop and rest soon?” she asked with very tired eyes.
“And eat?” added Sam, as he held his belly.
Jason chuckled softly and looked down at me. I was exhausted, and needed a short recharge, as well as it looked like everyone else could use the same thing, too. I looked up at Jason with pleading eyes. He looked down at me and smiled sincerely.
“Yeah, sounds to me like a good idea,” Jason said, not taking his eyes off of me.
