Suddenly, we landed in a large, soft pile of cold snow. “Brr,” I said as I got to my feet. Jason, Mariah, and Sam got to their feet, and we all brushed the cold snow off of our skin. We all looked around, and we saw that we were in a beautiful, glistening winter wonderland. I shivered and hugged myself. The rolling hills were covered in a thick, untouched blanket of snow, and the trees were still very much alive and had brown trunks. That's strange, I thought as I looked at the lively trees. Usually in the winter time, the trees hibernated and turned leafless, but I could see green leaves sticking out from the snow.Jason looked at me with a soft expression, and he pulled a strap on the bottom of his vest.
