Violently, the tornado pulled us off of the ground and swept us up into the clouds of purple and blue lightning. I held onto Jason and Sam's hands as tight as I could. Sam had a hold of Mariah’s hand, and she had her brother’s other hand. We all looked at each other in fear as we spun around in the violent wind. This wasn’t like any other portal we had ever been in.
“What is happening?” called Mariah, as her hair whipped in her face.
“I don’t know, just hold on tight!” yelled Jason through the wind, as I felt my hand slipping in his sweaty grip.
Suddenly, I looked up at Jason in fear.
"Sammy, hold on!" he yelled to me, as he looked at me seriously.
"I'm slipping!" I screamed, as I tried to regain my grip, but our hands were too slippery.
At that moment, my hand slipped out of his
