Leo's Point of View:
Let me just say that this Rose chick was driving me on my last nerve. I snuck into her bedroom, hoping to find that dang ring I saw on her hand. She looked so fragile and weak earlier, so how was I supposed to know that she could be so hostile? After being knocked out cold by her bat, I found myself waking up in that lodge again, tied up to a bed.
I groaned and tugged on the ropes that held my arms hostage, trying to break loose, but it was no good. ‘Just what kind of perverted person would tie someone up like this?’ I made a face from imagining what face Rose could have been making while she tied me to the bed. The idea of her uncleaned, unworthy hands touching my skin made me feel sick. ‘That perverted, no good, son of a b***h…’
I tugged harder on the ropes but I was getting nowhere. ‘Is she going to come back?’ the voices asked frantically as I struggled. ‘What is she going to do if she comes back? What are YOU going to do if she comes back? Does she know who you are?’
“I’ll KILL her!” I screamed. “She can’t do this to me! I’ll KILL her!” Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a slight jolt of someone’s head, staring up at me in surprise.
It was this ATROCIOUS creature, kneeling down next to a deer’s rotting corpse- or at least, what was left of it anyways. Sticky red blood was flowing down her face, her sharp teeth stained in dried blood as well. In her hands was a large, pink chunk of meat that was ripped out of the deer’s stomach.
“Oh god no!” I cried dramatically. “You’re HIDEOUS!” The creature’s black eyes narrowed at me and she climbed onto her feet.
“Haha, very funny Leo,” she said, sucking on each one of her fingers.
I lifted my head to look around, squinting my eyes. ‘My head’s killing me,’ I thought miserably. I gave up, placing my head back on the pillow and sighed.
“Why am I here, Alice?” I asked tiredly.
“Don’t know,” Alice said in a nonchalant voice, even though I can tell by her face that she was pretty excited. “All I know is that that human girl knocked you out and brought you here.” She paused before repeating, “A human girl, Leo.”
“I know, I know,” I growled. “Don’t need to remind me.”
“Oh, I thought I did,” Alice chirped. “I thought you might have had a hard time remembering from that hard hit to the head.” I groaned and she skipped over to the foot of my bed, sitting down and studying my hands and feet with a fake, confused look pasted on her face.
“Oh my goodness!” she said, raising her voice in surprise. “You look a little tied up at the moment. Should I just leave, maybe come back to talk another day?” Another low growl escaped my throat. She’s enjoying this, I’m sure of it.
Alice was the first demon I met on my search for the seal of David. I told her my plan, that how one day she, too, will become my slave. She wasn’t such a huge fan of my plans. She enjoyed freedom and mocked me every day about how weak I was to not have any control over her. It MUST have had made her day to see me defeated by such a weakly being.
“Why are YOU here?” I asked, rephrasing my question. Alice smiled innocently, batting her eyelashes.
“I just wanted to spend time with the guy who’s always trying to force me into slavery,” she said sweetly. “Is that so wrong?” My eyes dropped to her pale neck and a smile gently formed on my lips.
“Are you sure that’s why you’re here, Al?” I asked, arching an eyebrow. “Or are you too here because of the Seal?”
Alice’s hands immediately flew to the choke collar on her neck and I knew that I hit the target. She never wore any jewelry since I’ve met her, and it was pretty hard to miss, too. It wasn’t anything too fancy. Just a black, chained collar like any dog would wear.
“Such a pretty necklace you have, Ally,” I purred, running my hand down the chained leash the connected to her collar. “It looks so pretty on you. I never actually thought that I’d see the day you would wear one.” I yanked on it slightly and brought Alice’s reddened face close to mine. “The dog look suits you perfectly.”
Chuckling, I moved my hand up to her cheek, stroking it gently. “I’ll tell you what,” I whispered, moving my lips to her ear. “I will find whoever is at the end of this leash, and I will kill them for chaining up my pet like this.”
Alice quickly pulled away from me and snickered. “And how exactly are you going to do that?” she asked coldly. “When you are tied to the be-” I held up both hands, raising my eyebrows. She stopped, eyes widening when she finally realized that I had already freed myself from the ropes.
“How did you-” she stammered. I chuckled.
“Because unlike you, Alice, I’m not just going to stay chained up. Because unlike you, I’m not DESTINED to be controlled.”
I climbed off of the bed and gently took a piece of Alice’s hair. She growled and tried standing up to attack me, but was pulled back by the rope that had once held me. “What the-” She stared down at her arms, staring in amazement at how she was now the one that was tied to the bedposts.
“I’ll be back,” I promised. “And wish you luck on escaping. Those knots are pretty tricky to get out of.”
