It was late after midnight as i climbed up the fire escape to Rochelle's window. There was a light on so I figured she was home. I pushed open the window and was surprised to find it open. I climbed in and saw Rochelle in the kitchen. She looked up from whatever she was doing on the kitchen counter.
"Alec! You almost gave me a heart attack"
"I'm sorry" I said with a smile. "But I thought after last night you would lock your window" I said as I walked towards her.
"Yeah I uh..." she started breathing hard.
