Odessa POV
He woke me up with kisses on my neck. They were small enough to ignore and continue sleeping until he tried to devour me. My clothes didn’t last long after that.
I was always ready to accept him. He dominated my body. He didn’t leave room for doubt in my mind. I belonged to him. Yet, one thing was missing. Maverick still hadn’t marked me.
A part of me thought it was wise to forget about him giving me a mate mark. It was important, though! It was a symbol to all other wolves that I was taken. It was also a symbol to the pack that their Alpha had found his mate.
The seriousness of mating the Alpha was lost on me sometimes, but at times like this, when I realised that Maverick would take me as his Luna, I was terrified.
“That’s one way to wake up,” I breathed out.
