Odessa POV “Odessa, leave,” Maverick ordered. “You can’t leave him!” my wolf commanded. I wasn’t going to leave him to fend off three wolves on his own. “Odessa, snap out of it! I’ll be fine.” The foreign wolves emerged from the shadows. They had wet, matted fur and smelled like sulphur and blood from a fresh kill. My insides knotted together like their wild, unkempt hair, which was an obvious indicator that these wolves were rogues. One jumped first. Maverick stopped arguing with me.
