“Where’d you find this place?”
The warmth in the cottage wrapped around me the second I stepped inside. I stripped out of my jacket as I took the inviting colours of the place in.
“What happened to your jersey?” Mav asked.
I froze. I slowly turned around to see his face twisted in confusion.
“Uhh… well—”
“Did things get crazy out there?”
“Yeah, sure.”
He touched the part that had been torn off. “I’ll get you another one.”
Sienna won’t get her hands on this one.
“I will be honoured to wear your jersey, Captain Maverick. You were incredible. It was so intense!”
